YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED! This is an extremely exciting time – congratulations! It is wonderful that you are thinking about having a green wedding (or about including green elements in your wedding) and I hope this website will make planning your big day easier.
A little over a year ago, when my husband and I began planning our wedding I spent thousands of hours (literally) collecting green elements and comparing green vendors. I was surprised – and very frustrated – to see how dispersed the information was. To make sure others did not have to suffer endless web surfing, I compiled all of that information into a comprehensive book - The Green Bride Guide - due out this Fall.
However, there are things that you can’t include in a book – like green planning Q+A, or continually updated advice from real brides. A website also allows you to see pictures from real green weddings and find favors and dresses by keyword in an interactive look book. I hope you find all of the features on this website useful!
The green community is a grass roots organization – where everyone’s help is needed and appreciated! Help make this resource better by adding your own experience, advice and favorite green products.
